The Chiefland Walmart celebrated its 25th year in business May 2, as well as the handful of employees who have been there since the beginning.
"It's quite an achievement," said Store Manager Arnie Pierce.
The 11 employees were given plaques and gold pins honoring their service with the company. And there were two large cakes — made by Jodie — Friday for employees and visitors to the store.
"We just thought we'd do a little something to let the community know how long they've been here."
Twenty-five-year Walmart veteran and Shift Manager Tracy King said he's happy to have had such a long career at the store. King, like all of the 25-year employees, started at Walmart when it was located across the street from the current super store. He unloaded trucks and, during the years, worked his way up.
