Chiefland swept Bell in three games last Tuesday to go above the .500 mark for the first time this season.

The Indians defeated the Lady Bulldogs, 25-10, 25-16, 25-16. Chiefland also defeated Dixie on Thursday.

In Game 1 Chiefland jumped to a quick 5-1 lead and never looked back to easily take the quick victory.

Bell challenged some in the second game, but  a decisive kill by Kacey Miller to make it 12-6 regained momentum for the Indians.

Chiefland had a 3-1 lead in the third game before the longest exchange of the night with swift volleys and saves from both teams. Bell ended up winning the point to pull within 3-2. Chiefland pulled off a 6-0 run to pull away.

Chiefland coach Tammy Arrington said things are finally coming together for her team.

“This is the first time this season that I’ve seen a connection, a lasting connection,” she said.

Kaylee Ecker finished the game with five digs, and Krysten Johnson followed with four digs. Madison Rutkowski had five aces on the night. Kacey Miller finished with five kills
