Levy County Sheriff's investigators used some high-tech and old-fashioned methodology to arrest and charge two Williston men who admitted burglarizing a home on U.S. Highway 27A, according to a sheriff's office press release.

Michael Scott Fordham, 38, is charged with burglary and petit theft, and Ronald Glenn Perry, 40, is charged with tewo counts of burglary and two counts of petit theft after being arrested by detective Sgt. Mike Narayan and Det. Jimmy Anderson.

The detectives were told a home had been the target of multiple break-ins, so they installed surveillance equipment. Using the equipment they spotted Perry and Fordham on the property in the process of taking scrap metal from the home. The detectives found the suspects hiding in a trailer located on the property and discovered a pile of scrap metal placed beside a brown Ford Explorer owned by Perry.

During an interview, Perry confessed to taking costume jewelry and other small items from the home a week earlier.

Perry's bond is $115,000 and Fordham's bond is $55,000.
