Trenton cyclist injured in Alachua crash

Jeffery Allen Burrow, 29, of Trenton, was hospitalized in critical condition at U.F. Health's Shands Hospital in Gainesville due to injuries he received in an accident on Interstate 75 at the 338 mile marker on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 7:50 a.m. according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. 

Burrow, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was traveling north in the center lane on I-75 followed by Briget Mary Bihm-Manuel, 33, of Gainesville in a 2002 Chevy Classic, Burrow lost control of the motorcycle causing the bike to tip over and Burrow to fall into the traffic lane. Bihm-Manuel, was unable to stop in time and ran over Burrow. 

The FHP report by Trooper Matthew Simmons notes alcohol is not a factor in the accident and Bihm-Manuel and her passenger Keith Anthony Manuel, 31, were not injured in the mishap and were wearing their seatbelts at the time.
