The Levy County Department of Public Safety hosted a 40-hour Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) class on basic EMS skills for first responders to provide medical care. Some of the skills students studied were controlling bleeding, taking vitals and back boarding. The class is made up of volunteers from Bronson Fire, Chiefland Fire, Inglis Fire and LCDPS.
