Many of Santa's helpers rode motorcycles and motorized tricycles from Levy County through Gilchrist and on to Dixie County this past Saturday afternoon.
The Barney Fife Memorial Toys for Tots Run on Nov. 17 included about 150 bikers and trikers driving their vehicles from Bell's Family Restaurant in Chiefland to Charlie's Bar and Grill near Cross City.
The 20-mile long ride is a charity effort, which is part of a program to bring gifts to needy children in the Tri-County Area. It was the third year these riders helped the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program.
