Tom Bailey, 67, of Fanning Springs, died after a tragic accident on Jan. 31, 2012. He was born on Feb. 18, 1944, in Atlanta, Ga., to Ray and Louise Bailey.
He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Bailey served in the U.S. Army and the in the National Guard Reserve. He moved to Fanning Springs 20 years ago from Horseshoe Beach. He was the manager at Chiefland Golf and Country Club for 20 years. He enjoyed being outdoors playing golf, fishing or traveling. Mr. Bailey was an avid sportsman. Any sport he decided to play he excelled at, including football. He was a football coach for many schools thru out his life.
He is survived by his sons, Thom Bailey, Bubba Bailey, Lee Bailey, Luke Bailey; daughters Kim Broyles (Danny), Mandy Bryan (Chuck), Donna Bailey; sister, Donna Bailey and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be on Sunday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Chiefland Golf and Country Club.
Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland.
