The name of the former TMC Pediatrics changed to Palms Medical Group on April 26. In addition, all affiliated offices in Branford, Bell, Williston, Trenton and Gainesville will also share the Palms Medical Group name.
“We’re looking forward to becoming a more unified organization under the Palms Medical Group name,” said Anita Reils, Interim Chief Executive Officer. “The new name will help us be more recognizable in our communities and show the strength and size of our health care system,” she said.
Riels said Palms has always been known for quality healthcare for families from birth to senior care. All patients can take advantage of same-day appointments at all Palms Medical Group offices.
Palms Medical Group employs more than 90 people in Gilchrist, Levy, Suwannee and Alachua counties and serves almost 17,000 patients. The organization is local, not-profit and community owned. It provides primary care, urgent care, mental health counseling, in-house pharmacy, well-baby exams, immunizations, minor surgical procedures, family planning, physical exams, health screenings, hearing/vision testing, chronic disease management, HIV testing, chiropractic and massage therapy.
“We are dedicated to being the neighborhood health care provider,” said Riels.
