The Levy Soil & Water Conservation District (LSWCD) recognized three Levy County School teachers on Dec. 6, at the Levy County School Board meeting for “2011 Conservation Teacher of the Year”. The LSWCD sent out applications at the beginning of the school year for those teachers interested in receiving funds of $1,000 toward a conservation project funds would be allocated for. The LSWCD received three applications with conservation programs that are being implemented in the classrooms everyday and choose to allocate funds to all three recipients.
