I attended the County Commission special meeting this month with an open mind in regard to the Tarmac King Road Mine project. I say with an open mind because I have heard the pros and cons from both sides and wanted to hear the facts, figures and opinions from both sides. Well, I sat for eight hours and listened to it all. Tarmac had answers to the concerns that some people had in regard to the mine, yet I could tell from looking around the room that several people were not there to listen to the facts. They had their minds made up and nothing was going to change that.
