State parks to host literacy month events

Manatee Springs

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Manatee Springs State Park will host a story book reading in celebration of Literacy Month  at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, 2009. The park will also host a story book reading of Al Burks' "Mullet Latitudes" by Ranger Matt Meyer  at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13, 2010.
