Karina Lowyns, center, a fourth grade student at Chiefland Elementary School, is congratulated by CES Principal Patrice McCully, left and Judy Allen of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5625 Ladies Auxiliary, for winning first place at the state level in the organization's Patriotic Coloring Contest. She took home a check for $100 and a certificate. Her entry now moves on to the national VFW Auxiliary competition.
