A disagreement between two sisters over a minor relative's care ended with a gunshot and the shooter in jail, while the other was treated and released from the hospital, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Office press release.

Dorlinda Melissa Gilham, 47, of Bronson, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery on Sept. 1 after deputies went to an East Thrasher Avenue home on a domestic argument call.

Gilham got into an argument with her sister over health care issues for Gilam's grandson, according to the release.  Gilam became extremely angered, grabbed a small caliber pistol and shot it hitting her sister in the foot.

Gilam told deputies she had been arguing with her sister for the past two days and aimed in front of her sister, but the bullet ricocheted and struck her sister's foot. The bullet was recovered in the victim's shoe.
