By The Staff

BRONSON -The following persons have been arrested and charged according to Levy County Sheriff's Department arrest reports. All are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Jacquelyn Ava Carryer, 20, Northeast 77th Court, Bronson, charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. The arrest report says Carryer was stopped for failing to yield while making a left turn from Northeast 208th Terrace onto County Road 318. The report says while the officer was chasing the vehicle a passenger opened his door and dropped a substance onto the road. After the stop was made, the passenger, Whaqui Javorge Harvey, 21, Northeast 210th Court, Williston, told officers the substance he dropped was crack cocaine and he dumped it on her orders, the police report says. Harvey also told officers Carryer has been selling drugs "for only a short time."

A K-9 unit was called to help find the substance in the road that later tested positive for crack cocaine, according to the report. Once at the jail, Carryer produced a bag of marijuana from her underwear.
