A forage and grazing workshop was held at Fanning Springs City Hall in Fanning Springs on Sept. 23 and 30 to teach citizens from the Tri-County area about such topics as choosing North Florida forage, saving time and money with efficient fertilization, cost sharing programs with Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS),grazing strategies and techniques, weed control and best management practices for water use. The workshop was sponsored by the UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Science (IFAS), Levy County Extension, Dixie, Gilchrist and Levy Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
