Joan Leuebbe, Adult Education Coordinator the College of Central Florid's Levy Center, told the Chiefland Rotary Club that the college's GED — General Educational Development — program graduates 250 students per year in Levy County. She and Professor Dennis Radice, a GED instructor, told the Rotarians that the program is expanding to prepare students for college studies and vocational training programs at the postsecondary level. Luebbe said by 2018 it is estimated that 63 percent of the jobs in this country will require a postsecondary education.
