Because of a delay in getting work done on Northwest 80th Street near Chiefland, the Levy County Commission has switched the No. 1 and No. 2 projects on its road paving list.
Administrative Road Superintendent Bruce Greenlee said the county, which has maintained Northwest 80th Street for more than seven years said his department has learned the county does not have a record for the county's right-of-way. As a result the start of the project, which is No. 1 on the county's paving priority list, will be delayed to get all the necessary paperwork done.
