The theme for the 2014 Relay For Life of The Tri-Counties will be “Hunting for a Cure,” chosen by those in attendance at the Relay Round-up meeting on Oct. 17. We are so excited to see what is ahead for this new relay season knowing the goal is to save lives and create more birthdays.
The 2013 Relay For Life end of season reports are as follows:
• Dixie County – $21,000,
• Nature Coast (their first relay) - $27,000, and
• Gilchrist County – $52,000.
We thank all the wonderful citizens of these communities for coming out to support this very important cause. The money raised will fight cancer by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
Thanks to the young people from Riverside Christian the Relay For Life of The Tri-Counties is on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The next Relay For Life of The Tri-Counties committee meeting is on Nov. 12, followed by the Relay Kickoff on Nov. 19. Both events are at 6 p.m. at the Fanning Springs Community Building behind the Cadillac Motel.
