Radio stations serving the Tri-County Area — WLQH 93.3 FM and 940 AM in Chiefland and WZCC 1240 AM in Cross City — changed their broadcast format on Saturday, June 28 and will launch a new website, according to an announcement by the station's management.

At midnight “The True Oldies Channel” became “Classic Hits 93.3” due to The True Oldies Channel ceasing broadcasting as the host Scott Shannon focuses all his attention on his new job as morning DJ at WCBS-FM in New York.

Classic Hits 93.3 will play a little more '70s and '80s music and some '60s. Listeners will still hear the British Invasion and Motown along with Hall and Oates, Fleetwood Mac and a solo McCartney with Wings.

This week will see the launch of a new website www.classichits933.com and updating the Facebook page.  The public is invited to visit them both and leave comments regarding the new format.
