Pitbulls terrorize South Chiefland

-A A +A
By Mark Scohier, Staff writer

A pair of pain-in-the-rear pitbulls is plaguing parts of South Chiefland, according to city officials and residents in the area, but a solution is proving hard to leash.

Chiefland resident and business owner Chris Jones came before the commission Monday night to ask that something be done. The dogs, seen roaming city streets, have bitten several people in the area in the last few months, he said. One victim needed more than 100 stitches.

“We’ve all been told there’s nothing that can be done about it,” he said.
