Has anyone noticed the azaleas starting to bloom? While the camellias are still blooming? Guess that is the result of the weather: hot one day and cold the next. I get up in the morning and don't know whether to slather on sunscreen or moisturizer.
Got a call the other day from Connie Brown at Tri-County Outreach saying donations are down just as her need to raise money for the emergency food pantry is increasing. Brown sells used clothing and other items to raise money for the pantry.
It's no wonder she's feeling pinched. I know of three used goods shops that have opened in the past year and I am sure there are more shops I have yet to notice.
While the economy is picking up, it is leaving some folks behind.
If you are cleaning out closets and storage bins, think of the Tri-County Community Outreach.
