It all starts with 25 professionals who volunteer their time and talent to develop national policy for the AARP board of directors who then adopt it as the association's public policy. This also guides the activities of all the volunteers and staff for the coming year.
The group develops policies that focus on the issues that affect seniors' health and long term care, consumer protection, utilities and independent living.
