Nosey says ...

-A A +A

We can't allow Medicare to be replaced by private insurance. Paul Ryan, the House Budget Committee Chairman from Wisconsin, has been pushing a bill to give seniors financial aid to purchase private insurance.
When I retired 15 years ago, the company I worked for offered me their insurance, only $900 a month. I don't believe the cost has gone down since I retired, nor do I believe the federal government is going to offer that kind of money for seniors to buy insurance, and I'm also sure that whatever money may be provided would not include cost of living increases, just as we have not received cost of living increases with social security.
Speaking of Social Security, I inderstand we may receive a .07 percent increase in 2012. However, it has also been stated that Part B of our Medicare will go up .07. The government won't have to give us anything at all.
Of course, we know there have been no cost of living increases in the last two years, nothing except Medicare, food, homeowner's insurance, car insurance, electricity and, oh yeah, don't forget gas, which the media says has gone up over $1 since last year.
