The State’s 28th annual observance of Industry Appreciation Week begins Sept. 12 and Chiefland will join other communities around the state in showing support for local industry and trade by hosting a Sept. 13 banquet honoring two local notable businesses.
The Chamber of Commerce is urging the public to come forward with suggestions. If you have noticed or experienced something extraordinary in your business dealings, consider making a nomination. Some qualifications to consider might include:
n Serves the Chiefland area
n In business at least one year
n Currently in operation
n Runs a clean business
n Appreciates employees
n Community involvement
n Job creation
n Priority to members
Anyone interested in obtaining a nomination form is invited to call the Chamber office at (352) 493-1849. Nominations are due by August 10.
