The federal trial of two suspended Levy County Commissioners and the former executive director of a business board associated with the county has been delayed until May 4.
Suspended commissioners W.S. “Sammy” Yearty and Robert Anthony “Tony” Parker, and Pamela Blair, resigned executive director of the Levy County Enterprise Zone Development Authority, were granted the delay on Thursday.
Yearty and Parker are accused of conspiracy to commit bribery and bribery. Yearty faces additional charges of lying to the FBI. Blair is charged with lying to the FBI.
They were indicted by a federal grandy jury in October and the indictments were sealed until November.
Gov. Charlie Crist suspended Yearty and Parker the day their indictments were unsealed. No one has been named to replace them while they await trial.
