A Murphy Oil USA spokesman has confirmed that the fuel discounter is building a convenience store and gas station on a 1.12-acre site on U.S. Highway 19/27A and Northwest 21st Avenue in Chiefland.
"We're excited to be building in that part of Florida," Angelos Lambis, a spokesman at the El Dorado, Ark., headquarters of the corporation, said. The company paid $725,000 for the site and will spend $831,672 on construction.
