No one was injured and a singlewide mobile home was a total loss after it burned the morning of Monday, Dec. 30, according to a Levy County Public Safety Department press release.
The fire on East Cypress Avenue was reported at 6:10 a.m. to the Levy County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center.
The first unit on scene found 50of the structure involved in the fire and defensive control measures were taken to protect another residential structure until more help arrived. None of the resident were home at the time of the fire.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office was on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
Responding to the fire were DPS Battalion 1 Engine 5 from Yankeetown, Medic 3 from Inglis, Inglis Fire Department, South Levy Fire Department Levy County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
