Miss Ruth to wed Mr. Alford

Mr. and Mrs. Joe P. Ruth of Old Town announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Blanche to Cecil "Edward" Alford Jr. of Chiefland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Alford of Cedar Key.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Dixie County High School and is a registered nurse. She is employed by the Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Gainesville.

The future groom is a 1996 graduate of Cedar Key High School and is employed by Central Florida Electric Co-op in Chiefland.

A summer wedding is being planned.
