Meatloaf contest at Eagles

The Fraternal Order of Eagles is looking for the area's best meatloaf cook (and probably the recipe) at its Annual Meatloaf Cookoff on Feb. 23 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. 

There is a $5 per entry fee with the money going toward win, place and show awards. Entries must be brought in by 12:30 p.m. for judging at 1 p.m. 

   For those not adventuresome enough to put their meatloaf out there, or meatloaf challenged, you can pony up a $6 donation and have a meatloaf dinner with all the fixin's of mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, veggies, bread and dessert. 

   Contestants can sign up at the Eagles club at Third and B Streets in Cedar Key.
