The Levy County Drug Task Force has arrested two people in Chiefland on drug charges resulting from an operation conducted in August at the South Chevron in Chiefland, according to the Sheriff's Office press release.
Randi Lynn Fumea, 23, is charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church following her arrest on Dec. 27. Also arrested on Dec. 28, was Johnny Lee Welch on possession of crack cocaine.
On Aug. 25, a confidential informant received crack cocaine from Welch after paying Fumea $40.00 for the drug. The transaction occurred less than 1,000 feet from the Power House Faith & Praise Church of God.
Welch, 31, has been arrested on 30 felony charges and 21 misdemeanor charges, but only two felony and misdemeanor convictions.
