An 87-year-old Levy County resident was found dead outside a convenience store after he went into the store at Northeast 140th Court and U.S. Hwy. 27A, asked the clerk to call 911 and exited the store. The man, whose wife died recently, had a gunshot wound to his head, according to the Levy County Sheriff's Office report. The man told the store clerk officers were to first go to his home near the store. When they did, they found a note he had left. The case is being investigated as a suicide.
