Man jailed in sex crime

Timothy Ray Fields Jr., 27, of Bronson, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 8 on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Office press release.
Sheriff's Cpl. Mike Bell and Deputy Kevin Kink investigated the complaint from a juvenile who told them she had been raped two weeks ago in Fields' vehicle. She said she delayed reporting the crime because she was scared.
Bell obtained a tape statement from Fields confessing to the incident.
Fields is in Levy County Jail on a $400,000 bond.
