Man accused of supplying drugs to Chiefland, Cedar Key

Kenyatta Daron Howard. 36, of Hawthorne was arrested Dec. 16 by the North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force on drug charges, according to a Levy County Sheriff's Office press release.
Howard was considered as a mid level drug dealer in Levy County supplying drugs to the Cedar Key and Chiefland areas, according to the release. The Levy County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force made undercover drug buys from Howard and obtained an arrest warrant for sale and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.   
The Fugitive Task Force, comprised of the US Marshals Service, Levy County Sheriff's Office, Alachua County Sheriff's Office and the Gainesville Police Department, located Howard at the American Best Value Inn motel in Gainesville. When officers approached the motel, Howard tried running away on foot.
Howard, a registered sexual offender in Levy County, was convicted in 1999 for lewd and lascivious behavior with a child.
He was held in the Alachua County Jail on a $325,000 bond.
