Log Cabin Quilters for Sept. 8

-A A +A
By Winnelle Horne

The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Levy County Quilt Museum. Our days are getting so busy so we know that the fall of the year isn’t so far away.   Our Northern Quilters will be back with us soon.
Goldie McHenry is at Hospice and we visited with her. So far she is doing well. Our prayers are with so many now and more are being added to the list to be remembered.
We have our 28th Quilt Show notices and will be letting everyone know more details.   It seems impossible to be doing this for so many years.  Where have the years gone and yet we remember every one and where they were held.  We had the 13th here at the Museum in 1996 when the building was a long way from being finished.
Greg and six boys were out Tuesday.  They do so much and we appreciate everything they do.  Thanks Lancaster.
Thursday lunch was dessert day and all of it was so good. We had cheese and macaroni, greens, squash, potatoes, pea salad, tossed salad, a big chocolate pecan cake, pear pie, pear cobbler, cookies, banana nut bread, coconut cake, brownies, chocolate cookies and much more.
