The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, March 17 at the Levy County Quilt Museum. What a busy day we had. The nine-patch square was taken out and is now ready to be hemmed. A Dresden Plate quilt was put in and quilting will be started next week. A Log Cabin quilt will also be put in next week and that will give us more places for quilters to sit and help.
Thelma Cain brought in her Butterfly Quilt for all to see. Each week we have quilt(s) brought in and pictures are taken. Through the years, we have hundreds of pictures of quilts that have been brought in since we started in 1983 – long before we had the museum.
We will be sorry to see our northern members going back to the cold country. They are really enjoying our warm weather now.
Thursday lunch was another feast with fried chicken, chicken and rise, two kinds of carrots, meatloaf, potatoes, peas, two kinds of macaroni and cheese, cherry cake, pound cake, cookies, pineapple cake and so much more.
