Log Cabin Quilters for March 22

-A A +A

The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, March 15, at the Levy County Quilt Museum.  The ladies enjoy getting together and seeing the projects the others are working on.  Pansy joined us for lunch and to get ideas on how to attach her no-quilt quilt squares.  (I am not a quilter so I just had to see what they were talking about.   Think about it, no quilt squares that are quilted.)   We also had a visitor from the Morriston area that wants to learn how to put together the squares that her mom had started a few years back.  She’ll be back next week to start work on her mom’s quilt.
Greg and six boys were out on Monday and got a lot done.  They’re getting the yard ready for spring.   More work inside was done.  With their help, the Museum is beginning to have a new look inside and the outside is trimmed ready for everything to turn green and grow.  Thanks Lancaster.
Our Northern friends will be going back home in a few weeks.   They have been a lot of help these past few months.   To all the volunteers and businesses that have supported us, we give very grateful thanks so much.  It has been a lot of hard work, yet I think we’re going to make it.   In the future, we may have a webpage and an email address.
The Museum is the only one of its kind in the state so come out and sit a spell.  Don’t forget we’re open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Hope to see you soon.
