The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, Jan. 13 at the Levy County Quilt Museum. Pam brought in a big box of Flower Garden Squares. Allison worked on her yo-yo wall hanging. Jannie and Alice May worked on the Nine Patch quilt that’s in the frame. Someone brought in quilt books. It seemed that everyone was busy with projects or looking for new ones.
We had several guests in and some stayed for our potluck lunch. We always invite anyone to have lunch with us, and we feel we make friends when we eat together.
We are still having quilts and crafts brought in so we can take them to the Fair next week. We also take quilts and what have you that come in from the Joyful Hearts quilters up near Branford. They are one of two quilt groups we started in 1991. They now meet once a week at the fire station in North Gilchrist County.
Thursday lunch was so good with fried chicken, chicken and rice, turkey pot pie, chili, tomato gravy, bean casserole, pea salad, fruit cake, cookies, bread and so much more.
