The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, April 21, at the Levy County Quilt Museum. It was a great day with twelve Red Hat Ladies from Gainesville out for a visit and lunch with us. Four ladies from Gulf Hammock were also over for a visit, lunch and to enjoy the porch with humming birds also visiting.
Our prayers are with Vera Jordan who has been a quilter with us since 1985. Her husband, Jim, was a lot of help when we would put on a quilt show. Although he has passed on, we will always remember the many wooden articles he brought to the Shows.
Greg and six boys were out Tuesday and got baskets hung up, cleared flower beds and so much more. Thanks Lancaster.
Thursday lunch was chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, beans and potatoes, carrots and peas, fried cabbage, meat loaf, collards, biscuits, pasta salad, pea salad, macaroni salad, cabbage casserole, chocolate cake, Lois’s special chocolate desert and so much more.
