Log Cabin Quilters

-A A +A

By WINNELLE HORNE
Director, Quilt Museum
The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Levy County Quilt Museum.  All the boxes of fabric and other sewing materials have been taken to Grace Works in High Springs and Medic Ayers Nursing Home.  Now we can get back to normal.  We will be going to the Sheriff’s jail in Gainesville to take bags of clothes to the inmates getting out of jail that have nothing to put on.
We will soon be getting ready for the Quilt show that starts the day after Thanksgiving, and we will be ordering our bus from Daytona to go to the Fair in February.  This is always a fun day, and we also look forward to judging in January.
Looking back at the years since we started the Log Cabin Quilters and the building of the Museum, we realize that so many wonderful years have passed. Our Lord is so good to us, and we look forward to years to come.
Greg and eight boys were out Tuesday to help load all the boxes, as well as clean the Museum, mow and do all the wonderful things they do for us.  Thanks Lancaster.
