Log Cabin Quilter: Feb 17

-A A +A

By WINNELLE HORNE
Director, Quilt Museum
The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, Feb 11 at the Levy County Quilt Museum.   As our northern ladies come back to great weather, we are busy.  Dorothy Riggs, Elvena Davidson and Mildred Medskar are back but time changes many things.   There have been years when they come and quilt one or two quilts while here but like a lot of us, we can’t do the many things we used to do.  It is great to have them with us this year.  It’s great to be able to visit and talk of old times.  We have had many quilters out here in the years since we started and we wonder where the years have gone. Welcome Home ladies.
Our bus is full and we look forward to going down on Tuesday to the Fair.  Everyone cannot win ribbons but it’s great to be able to put our quilts and crafts in the show.  The show makes us do our best.
Thursday lunch was so good with chicken and noodles, beans and rice, greens, cheese and macaroni, lasagna, eggs, Doris’ pumpkin roll, brownies, sweet potatoes and so much more.
