Capital City Bank recently made a significant contribution to the Levy County Schools Foundation. Andy Lott, Vice President, Chiefland office, presented funds in the amount of $6,000 to Levy County Schools Foundation Coordinator Angela Johnson.

The donation was made through the Capital City Bank Group Foundation, which has a mission to invest money and volunteer employee time into initiatives that are believed to contribute to building a strong community.

The Levy County Schools Foundation will use the funds to supplement several of the programs currently in place throughout the public school system, including the high school senior scholarship program; the STARS Gala; the Evening of Excellence, which recognizes the Teacher, Educational Support Staff and Volunteer of the Year from each of the schools in Levy County; sponsorship of the Annual Cycle for Education held each April; and participation in the Annual Beast Feast held each fall.
