The Levy Soil and Water Conservation District held their annual speaking contest on Feb. 1 in Bronson. There were two contestants — Yancey Hudson and Matthew Brown speaking on “What is the Economic Impact of Florida Forest?” Hudson placed first winning $125, while Brown took second place and $75. Both received trophies. Hudson will continue on to the District level competition on May 2 in Live Oak.
