Hundreds turned out Monday to celebrate Veterans Day as the city of Williston hosted this year’s annual Levy County tribute to members of our nation’s Armed Forces.
A parade that lasted 45 minutes featured floats, a band, marching units and of course, veterans of all ages.
The parade wound down Noble Avenue and went north on Main Street to the pavilion in Heritage Park. There more than 600 guests were treated to a hot dog lunch before an hour-long ceremony emceed by Williston Mayor Gerald Hethcoat.
