BRONSON - Another student was arrested on the charge of making a false report of planting a bomb or explosive device, according to records.
Tyler Ryan Baker, 15, of Williston was arrested at Hilltop Alternative School (HAS) in Bronson on Oct. 22 by Levy County Sheriff's Office Sgt. James M. Long.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. on that Monday, HAS teacher Arnett Hall saw Baker writing on a computer desk, Long said in his report of the incident. The teacher read the face of the disk and saw "virus, this computer will explode the next time it's turned on," Long said. There was a drawing of a "bomb" added to the text, the sergeant noted.
As noted previously in the Chiefland Citizen, a Chiefland High School student was recently arrested for allegedly making a false bomb report.
Like the CHS student, the HAS student was booked at the county jail and then released to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
Since the juveniles have been arrested for felonies, their names are open for publication.
