A Bronson woman became the fifth traffic fatality for 2013 in Levy County when the car she was driving left the road and struck a tree shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.
Carolyn Jean Jones, 54, of Bronson was driving a 2012 Toyota Yaris west on U.S. Highway 27A at Northeast 112th Terrace when the car left the road and struck a tree in a wooded area.
Jones, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedic Kathy Wilson of Levy County Fire Rescue.
