To the editor:
On Sunday, March 15, 2009 I found mself in a situation I’m not very familiar with. I have spent many years responding and assiting people with medical emergencies, on this particular afternoon I began not feeling well, upon insistence of my family, 911 was called. Both Williston fire department and Levy County Emergency Medical Services responded.
I would like to take this opportunity to commend FireFighters Stanley Young and Cain Schulz of the Williston Fire Department and Paramedic Matt Chribbs and EMT Kenny Maddox of the Levy County Emergency Medical Service for the professionalism and compassion that was extended to me. These gentlemen were able to use their training to place not only myself but my family at ease in this very stressful situation.
These men truly represented Williston Fire Department and Levy County EMS with confidence and professional. As a retired firefighter and medic, I can attest to the dedication of these men and now as a patient, I am very grateful for their compassion.
I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank you.”
