The family of Matt Cravey would like to take this opportunity to thank the citizens in the tri-county area for their show of support this past weekend.  The benefit BBQ was a huge success with over $16,000 raised from contributions.  The benefit BBQ was established by a cross section of wonderful community members and businesses in the tri-county and we are grateful for the unselfish, generous giving of your time.

As many of you know, Matt has been a very active community member, serving as FFA advisor and agriculture teacher at Dixie County High School and a mentor to many young people.  Matt’s FFA program has been outstanding and recognized throughout the state as exemplary.

This past summer he suffered a debilitating stroke and other health complications which have led to long term health care. The care that Matt needs is expensive and his health insurance not able to keep up with the costs.

Your donations will go a long way in supporting Matt and his family over the coming days and we are very appreciative of your efforts. You can continue to support Matt through donations sent to Capital City Bank in Cross City.  May God bless each of you!
