The Chiefland Women's Golf Association finished its third and final round of the Championship Tournament on Feb. 9. The association began in 1974 and the champion that year was Orine Goan. The trophy plaque is hanging in the honor gallery at the Chiefland Golf and Country Club, which opened that year.
Arma Beauchamp was the first president of the association and is still a playing member. She won the championship three times in the early years of its existence. Thanks for all her hard work during the last 37 years.
