Consistency, or lack of it, has been a big problem for the Chiefland High girls varsity basketball team this season.
Chiefland played well earlier last week against Dixie County, but the Lady Indians took a step backward last Thursday, Jan. 17, against visiting Newberry.
The Lady Panthers avenged an earlier loss to Chiefland with a 46-21 victory.
The Lady Indians saw their record dip to 1-15.
Chiefland tied the game at 4-4 after a basket by Jerrica Grimsley, but Newberry led the rest of the way. It was 9-4 after one quarter.
