Lady Indians grab first win

It wasn't exactly pretty, but the end result sit just fine with coach Wayne Weatherford.

The Chiefland High varsity softball team won its home opener last Friday night, 6-4 over visiting Newberry.

The victory evened the Lady Indians record at 1-1 and moved the district record record to 1-0. Newberry fell to 0-2.

The Lady Indians were far from mid-season form, as errors still plaqued Weatherford's team, but they had enough to hang on.
